 A protein diet is often recommended by bodybuilders and nutritionists to help efforts to build muscle and lose fat. It should not be confused with low-carbohydrate diets, such as the Atkins Diet, which are not food-energy–controlled and which often contain large amounts of fat.
Protein diet is for building up muscles and  new tissues.In particular for weight training and bodybuilding.
 
A high protein diet is a type of weight loss plan that emphasizes consumption of high-protein-containing foods. There are many different kinds of high protein diets. Many high protein diets may be risky for overall health because they stress the consumption of meats and high protein foods containing saturated fat and a high percentage of overall fat. High protein diets more restrict intake of important carbohydrates and low-fat dairy products.
Make sure your spice cabinet is stocked and go to the grocery store to get the following items:
  • Plain Greek yogurt.
  • Fresh/frozen berries.
  • Other fresh fruit (bananas, grapefruit, apple etc)
  • High-fiber high-protein diet breakfast cereal.
  • High-fiber/high-protein frozen waffles.
  • Natural peanut butter.
  • Eggs.
  • Low-fat/fat-free milk
